Sometime Around Day One …

We decided a while ago, in fact probably 20 years ago, that we would hit the road when we retired.  Literally.  We would pack everything up, something we are not unused to because in our earlier life we traveld for all our Air Force years all over the world.  Since retirement from the Air Force we have been living in Mt Juliet Tennessee since 1994.  This has been the longest either I or my wife Monica have ever lived anywhere!

This blog therefore will be a pre-departure year of packing and placing our house on the market, planning for the big trip, and saying goodbyes.  The plan does not include a return flight — in the sense that we know where and when we will return.  Life as a full time RV person while appealing might not be something we can endure well, or it could tun out to be everything we want.  Our problem is — leaving our kids.  Our house as you can see from the pictures is full of our kids and their stuff and their pictures.
