Painting the Bedroom/Den

We finally got  to painting the den — well actually Rebecca painted while we took care of spackle, boxing stuff, minor repairs and cleaning. The day turned a bit cool with rain on and off but the trees outside the windows, the apple trees and the peach trees are just about to bloom.  I think when they do, sometime over the next couple of days it will be more like an explosion.  We’ve made it to Easter and chances of a freeze are remote but the local lore is wait until after Mother’s Day for safety.  That is so true – there have been many times we’ve planted our little hearts out while mother nature had other plans.

Meanwhile in the rest of the house Rebecca’s dog Roxie was having a tough dream snuggled up next to Meiko!  It never fails that in trying to make one room presentable you end up making the other room a disaster.  This last picture is taken from the living room into the den — much of what we put in the den has made it into the living room — need room to paint and we had to get stuff away from the window so the glass can be replaced this week.  I’ve moved this blog from Google just because google was just wearing me thin.  They are too inflexible.  Anyway, here’s hoping you’ve had as productive a weekend as we’ve had!

Personally, I like this one better. I like it better when the pictures and words spread out on the page. Easier to read!
