Raccoon Mountain

We headed to southern Tennessee after Thanksgiving weekend and parked our camper at Raccoon Mountain RV Park. Nestled between Raccoon Mountain and Signal Mountain, this 80 site RV park fits our needs.

We initially paid for a week because we wanted to visit the surrounding area and see the various RV parks. With the small mountain ranges as an issue, having to go over them during inclement weather was an issue according to the sage counseling of some of the administrators in the school district I am working with, and with their information in mind we decided to stay put. We are just off the interstate and can hit a Walmart with a rock if we needed to!

I cross this span bridge every morning when I go to the school, and watch barges as they travel up and down the Tennessee River. Our family grew by one feline over the past week — another rescue animal bound for the gas chambers somewhere in a local county. We gave her a home and she just as quickly kicked the dogs and us out!

We plan on visiting family in Nashville over Christmas!
