Of the seven seas of the world I’ve been privileged to see six of them. Don’t think I’ll ever make it to the Antarctic especially in our fifth-wheel but because I grew up on the Atlantic I’m sort of partial to it, despite the beauty of the Gulf Coast and the majesty of the Pacific. While in St. Marys, Georgia we took the opportunity to visit Cumberland Island and the National Park there on land donated by one of our richest families, the Carnegie family. Of course truth be told the original inhabitants were the Tacatacuru indians. While my words may be sufficient to describe the island, it is truly beautiful in pictures and video.
This short video gives you a sense of our day at the island, but it is definitely an island you need to visit. For sure summer travel to this island is packed with visitors, off season is your best bet.
